BLACKSBURG – Sharrika Adams, associate dean of students at Virginia Tech, has been given the additional responsibility of director, student advocacy.
Adams will provide oversight for the daily advocacy operation and supervise a staff of six professionals, convene the weekly care team meetings, and serve as liaison to stakeholders and partners on campus.

Aaliyah Gray and her family would like to thank everyone who supported her in the endeavor to be crowned the 2014 Altruist Club Debutante Queen. The encouraging words, purchase of Ball tickets and monetary support were greatly appreciated. As the Debutante Queen, Aailiyah will receive a scholarship that will assist her in furthering her studies in education as she plans to become a teacher. Aaliyah is a senior at Northside High School.

Roanoke Catholic School’s acclaimed Shamrock Hill Run kicks off St. Patrick’s Day festivities on March 14 in downtown Roanoke.
