It was all about the culinary skills, tasty treats and recipes as local Deltas held their Cook-Off 2014 at the Roanoke Higher Education Center Saturday, Dec. 6. The “Real Men Cook” event featured 13 chefs that offered an array of scrumptious delights for “tasting only” with no judging as in the past–which was a refreshing twist. The Patrick Henry High School band traveled to Hawaii on December 4, to perform in the Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade. They were the only band picked up from Virginia. The group raised majority the money to send two-thirds of the band on the trip. Which was the biggest trip the band had ever taken.
