The Urban Professional League recognized four outstanding African-American professionals for their exceptional contributions in the areas of education, business and community service during the 3rd annual Community Achievement Awards.
Each year the selection committee vets local young professionals who are making great strides within their respective industry.
This year’s award recipients were Taren McCoy (education), Gregory Addison (business), Ashley Reynolds-Marshall (community) and Peter Lewis (citizen of the year).
In partnership with Cox Communications and TVOne, UPL was honored to have special guest, Mo Ivory, deliver the evening’s keynote message. Ivory frequents television networks such as CNN, HLN, MSNBC and Fox, offering her “no-holds barred” commentary on news items of the day–specifically on legal cases that have rocked our nation.
UPL continues to focus on promoting networking, professional development, and community service amongst young minority professionals in this area and is excited about continuing this event to showcase the great things being accomplished right here in the valley!
