Noraye Gardiner an exceptionally gifted young lady who loves to read has been invited to read Thursdays at 3:30pm at the Williamson Rd Library located at 3837 Williams Rd.
Noraye who has been reading since she was 2 years old, is extremely smart for her age considering all she has been through. She is being raised by her grandmother, Doris Jordan because 5 years ago her parents were killed in a local head on collision. Noraye was actually also in the car and survived the crash.
This 2nd grade student at Monetary Elementary School has a desire to branch out and do more reading to kids in local schools, churches, and other organizations. Other then her weekly jig at the Library, she has also read at Pinnacle Bank and was just recently featured in a story by WSET-13, “Lighting up the Heart of Virginia” section regarding her local readings.
All are invited (especially children) to come out to experience this storyteller in action!
