The Loudon Melrose Neighborhood Organization, Inc., awarded a $750.00 scholarship to Maya Coles a graduate of Patrick Henry High School.
Maya Coles, the 18-year-old daughter of Troy and Hope Coles is a member of Kingdom Life Ministries on Mercer Ave. NW. Outside of school, Maya works part time at Kroger as a cashier and will attend Radford University this fall to pursue a degree in nursing.
Members of the scholarship committee, C. Alywn Harper, Joan Simmons, and Clarice Walker were very impressed with the presentation of her application for the scholarship. The officers and members of the organization joins in congratulating Maya and offering continued success and prayers as she furthers her education.
