Jean Galloway is still on cloud nine over the outpouring of love and gifts from her family, church family and friends celebrating her 90th birthday (10-22-1930).
There were cards and gifts sent from South Carolina, Kentucky, Ohio and Christiansburg, and Roanoke, VA. The “Birthday Parade,” held on Saturday, Oct. 24, started from Morning Star Baptist Church led by Ken Haley to the home of Deaconess Galloway on Mercer Ave. It was a glorious celebration given by her daughters, Andrea Haley and Denise Code and shared by all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
“How can I say thanks,” she explained? To God be the glory!”
