Senior is first male winner from William Fleming High School since 1986

Warren Craft a senior at William Fleming High School has added another award to his impressive credentials by winning the top award at the 65th B’nai B’rith Athletic and Achievement Awards banquet held Monday, May 18.
This award (equivalent to the Heismen trophy) was presented by the Israel Friedlander Lodge at the Sheraton Roanoke Hotel & Conference Center.
With this achievement Craft becomes the first male winner from William Fleming since Ben Barnett in 1986. He was among other talented seniors from across the region hoping to win the award, which is based 50% on athletics, 25% on academics and 25% on citizenship.
He was also named first-team All-Group 4A in both football and basketball. Craft signed a football scholarship with University of Virginia where he plans to attend in the fall.
