As part of Apple Ridge Farm’s Annual Open House/Family Day, Peter Lewis, president, announces that a special tribute will be made posthumously to renowned play-write/director Marshal McAden.
On Saturday, July 18, at 11:00 a.m., a brand new specially designed performance stage will be dedicated in his memory. This will not be a celebration without members of his immediate family and friends in attendance from churches that include Ebenezer and Jerusalem Baptist, St. Gerard Catholic, First Baptist-Lexington and First Calvary Baptist of Sanford, NC. Other Roanoke valley community representatives from area churches, clubs, fraternities, sororities and civic organizations will also join in recognizing the legacy of Marshal McAden.
All who are interested and willing to assist in making this happen should contact Linda Journiette in the Apple Ridge office, (540)982-1322, or Peter Lewis at (540)309-5299 with any questions, ideas or suggestions. Please come join in this grand celebration and assist with the planning of this event while having an old fashioned good time as we celebrate his talents and special place in our hearts and in history!
