The United Black Veterans Society of VA will be holding it’s sixth annual Community Felon Restoration of Voter Rights Forum on Saturday, Aug. 22, at the Melrose Library, 2607 Salem Turnpike, NW. This event consist of Voter Registration, Health Education & Health Screenings, speakers, and testimonials and is FREE and open to the public.
Due to the usually large turn out, Pre-Registration is strongly recommended as those pre-registered will be seen first on that date, in the order of arrival. Walk-ins are also welcome and will be seen after all pre-registered guests in the order of arrival. Please bring all court papers, proof of payment of all fines, proof of release of probation as well as all appropriate forms (which can be picked up from clerks at the Circuit Court.
This event is to help all Non-violent and Violent Ex-offenders who have successfully completed there probationary period to Pre-Register or to get more information. Any community leader who would like to participate or speak at this event is welcome to join in and should pre-register as well.
Any Exoffenders in the state of Virginia can come to this forum and receive help in completing these forms. Snacks & beverages will be provided.
