The Lucy Addison High School Class of 1965 celebrated its 50th Class Reunion on July 10-12, at the Holiday Inn, on Ordway Dr. in Roanoke. The class received a proclamation from Mayor David Bowers designating July 9-12, 2015 Lucy Addison High School Class of 1965 days.
The Class of 1965 was the largest class to matriculate from the historial all-Black high school. After the 10th reunion, a reunion has been held every 5 years and all have been well attended.
Over 108 persons some of whom had not been to a reunion since graduating, attended the 50th reunion. Classmates came from Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Michigan, Maryland, Texas, Georgia, Connecticut, DC, Alabama, Ohio, and Virginia. All had a grand time
