Jordan Pennix, a native of Salem, VA is a rising junior at Virginia Polytechnic Institute, as criminology major. He is the 2021 recipient of the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice (NABCJ)-Rosana Anderson scholarship. Pennix has committed to investing himself academically by demonstrating continued academic excellence; leadership and community service post high school. He made the Dean’s List twice during his freshman year and is actively involved in his campus community by being a member of Ujima, Black Student Alliance, Students of African American Brotherhood and Spanish Club. Upon graduation he plans to attend law school and continue his pursuit to fight systematic issues and social injustice.
The National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice Western Virginia Chapter is now accepting applications for the Rosana Anderson Scholarship for applicants enrolled in a college or university and majoring in Criminal Justice or related studies.
