The Inner City Athletic Association presented its “Walking the Vision” award to James “Sweet Pea” Lynch (center) for his vision of the Melrose Park Summer Basketball Program held this year. The award was presented by Inner City President Thomas “TJ” Tate (left) and Advisor George “Jelly” Riles (right). ICAA has been walking the vision for 48 years in the Roanoke Valley with the motto: “With no vision the people perish!” ICAA is extremely appreciative of the cooperation received from the Sherman Lea father/son team; Officer Josh Johnson and the Roanoke City Police Department in insuring the huge success of this great program that enriched the lives of hundred of NW kids, family members and friends.
