The Roanoke Chapter of Chums, Inc. in collaboration with the Roanoke City Libraries jumped started Dr. Seuss’s “Read Across America Day” with a Book Fair held at Melrose Library on February 7th. There were 276 children in attendance. The children not only had books to choose from, but also enrichment activity books, book bags, favors, and snacks. ‘Selfies’ were taken and all had a great time.
