The Roanoke Alumnae Chapter is proud to have awarded six college scholarships to well deserving local high school graduates. Scholarship funds are raised through various fundraising efforts such as the Jabberwock Production, Double Good Popcorn sales and other events. As a result of these fundraising efforts the chapter is fortunate to award an average of 10,000 in scholarships annually. This year’s recipients are:
Myla G. – Salem City graduate who will attend a four-year university, majoring in Sports Management; Jonathan V. – Salem City graduate who will attend a four-year university, majoring in Civil Engineering; Xavier V. – Roanoke County graduate who will attend a four-year university, majoring in Computer Science; and Kaelon T. – Roanoke County graduate who will attend a four-year university, majoring in Psychology/Criminology.
*Inez Hanley Scholarship Recipient: Jayden B. – Roanoke City graduate who will attend a four-year university, majoring in Criminal Law.
*Brenda Hackley Scholarship Recipient: Harper G. – Roanoke City graduate who will attend a four-year university, majoring in
English/ Secondary Education.
