A Jubilee Day Celebration hosted by the NAACP Youth Council, will be held at 12 noon on Monday, Jan. 01, 2024. Join in commemorating the historic Emancipation Proclamation and celebrating the spirit of freedom, resilience, and cultural heritage. This day holds a special place in the hearts of African Americans, symbolizing the end of slavery and the beginning of a new era. The event will take place at Morning Star Baptist Church, located at 1513 Rorer Ave SW.
The special guest for the day will be First Lady Annette Lewis, president & CEO of TAP (Total Action for Progress) who brings over 30 years of dedicated service to the community. Her presence adds to the significance of our celebration, highlighting the continuous journey towards equality and justice.
