The largest all-pottery show in Virginia will be held Oct. 16-18, featuring functional and decorative works created by over 70 area potters.
The Show is open to the public at Patrick Henry High School and begins with a sale and reception on Friday evening 6:00-9:00 p.m. Sale and demonstrations continue Saturday 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. and Sunday noon-5:00 p.m.
Kids Korner offers hands-on activities for youth. Demonstrations feature various pottery techniques including hand-thrown, hand-built and sculpted clay art. Watch how potters take a piece of clay and create an artistic form. A special gallery will show works created by Guild members who interpret this year’s theme, “Journeys.” Cash, checks and credit cards accepted.
Admission is Free and the public is invited to attend the event at P.H. High School Cafeteria, 2102 Grandin Road, S.W.
