The adage that people can’t miss what they never had does not apply in the current era of unprecedented American decadence, corruption, racism, fear and single issue mania, if it ever did. People can miss something they never had if: they have been miseducated with the fallacy that what they missed was their cultural heritage; this fabrication has been espoused for centuries by educators, philosophers, clerics and political leaders; biblical scripture “substantiated” the validity of the undergirding concepts-, i.e., Leviticus 25:44-46; and if a war was fought to secure that precept. Miseducation – lies told and truth withheld — is treason.
America in its entirety has been influenced forever-after by the philosophies that led to the Civil War which was declared by the Confederate nation to protect its states’ rights to enslave, brutally work, rape and lynch Black people, as well as to cement the notion of White Male Supremacy.
“My own convictions as to negro slavery are strong. We recognize the negro as
God and God’s Book and God’s Laws tell us to recognize him – our inferior, fitted expressly for servitude. You cannot transform the negro into anything one-tenth as useful or as good as what slavery enables them to be.” (Jefferson Davis)
Our new government is founded on the idea that the negro is not equal to the white man; that slavery, subordination to the superior race, is his natural and normal condition, a great physical, philosophical, and moral truth.”
(Alexander Hamilton Stephens)
The crime of treason perpetrated and perpetuated against Americans of all ilk was withholding the truth about the contributions African Americans made to the enrichment of America before the Civil War, making it a world power in very short order; victory in the Civil War; and a multitude of positive achievements that led to the development of America.
Americans of all genres should know about, accept and celebrate what descendants of slaves did for America rather than hate and victimize us. However, there is a contingent of white Americans who still “feel” that the first benefit from slaves — profit for white America — was our God-given responsibility; and that we were traitors for helping America win the Civil War.
In addition to Truth and knowledge, a proper education imparts the principle of universal freedom and an inviolable attachment to Democratic Principles and one’s own country. However, Miseducation has negatively infected both white and Black Americans with assertions of White Supremacy and Black Inferioracy, which track together. The higher the latter, the more powerful the former.
Miseducation has led too many Black Americans to inculcate the Black Inferioracy Syndrome, which includes self-hatred and the conception that we are inferior; and Black Proxyism. Black Proxyism disconnects descendants of slaves from their intrepid forebears and culture and induces them to trust, aid, abet and defend their oppressors instead of the oppressed, and to even attack their own Black TRUTH-TELLERS.
The result is the embedding of a mutually reinforcing system of White-Black animosity – the Fear-Hatred Symbiosis (FHS). Both sides feel justified in hating the other. Although, their specific maltreatments were different, they have always come from the same source – America’s Power Elite.
Hatred of others — which customarily includes rationalizing, blame-laying and excuse-making by the “failures” — can shield haters from the agony of accepting the part they played in creating their own objectionable conditions. When hate subsides, pain ensues or is intensified.
Sane people always act in their own best interests. However, deeply held beliefs can impel people to act against their real interests, as long as they get the results they seek, which too often have proven to be worse than the offending condition.
Americans who resemble America’s founders and original perpetrators, unfortunately, do not realize that they too have been harmed by duplicity. America’s Domestic Enemies have been especially effective in recent decades in using fear, which usually triggers hatred, to manipulate the most deprived whites by telling them that the remaining vestiges of their stolen heritage will be wrested from them if they do not support fascist-type leadership.
Americans suffering FHS, irrespective of race and gender, can never mature and become fully contributing citizens. We must not surrender this great country to those people and allow their fear and hatred to control us or them. We should attempt to release them from their trepidation, guilt and unadmitted sorrow. We who have survived and thrived against tremendous oppression –descendants of slaves — should try, by the example of our own lives, to prove that LOVE OF COUNTRY is the comprehensive, unifying rubric for Democracy, patriotism, truth, responsibility, respect, compassion, justice, integrity, ethics, and morality; and that a nation is doomed which penalizes its citizens who recognize, rejoice in, and espouse this fact.
