Vinton native Justin Fix to lead downtown Roanoke Chapel.
Justin Fix has been named Manager of Oakey’s downtown Roanoke Chapel.
A proud native of Vinton, Virginia, Justin graduated from William Byrd High School and embarked on his career in the funeral service industry joining Oakey’s in 2018. Demonstrating a strong commitment to his profession and the Oakey’s team, Justin attended and graduated from the Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service in 2021, earning an Associate Degree of Applied Science in Funeral Service.
During his tenure at Oakey’s, Justin has had the privilege of working alongside many of the most esteemed funeral directors in the Roanoke Valley. The shared expertise from these individuals has been invaluable to Justin, equipping him with the skills and knowledge to provide compassionate guidance to families during their most challenging times.
Outside of his professional commitments, Justin enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and their pups, Goose and Poppy. Together, this young family embraces the great outdoor amenities offered in the Roanoke Region through hiking and camping. They also treasure spending time with their extended family.
Oakey’s, a family-owned business serves the Roanoke Valley with five chapels – Downtown Roanoke Chapel, South Chapel, North Chapel, Vinton Chapel, East Chapel located in Botetourt County and The Cremation Tribute Center. As one of Roanoke’s oldest businesses, the company looks forward to celebrating their 160th Anniversary in 2026.
