The D.A.V (Disabled American Veterans) Thrift Store located at 2381 Roanoke Blvd., Salem opened in 1992. The Store is open to the general public for shopping. Items for sale are donated to the store. We offer free pick-up of large items such as washers, dryers, refrigerator and furniture. Small items are dropped off at the store. Veterans receive a 10% discount on their purchases.
Veterans who are homeless and need household furnishings may obtain vouchers from VA Care Center. Bring vouchers to the Thrift Store for couches, chairs, dining furniture, kitchenware and bedding. These items are donated to the Homeless at no charge.
Proceeds from the sale of these are deposited in the D.A.V. Fund. Store hours are Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Any support to this cause whether donating or shopping is appreciated.
