The new member shirts were on display at the Daisy Arts Parade on May 10. Melrose-Rugby Neighborhood joined with the “Northwest Strong” contingent in downtown Roanoke. This event was highlighted by a tribute to Roanoke’s most influential civil rights leader, Rev. R.R. Wilkinson. MRNF members marched in the parade, displaying the new shirts and identifying MRNF banner.
MRNF encourages all to join in on Monday, May 19, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will commence at Williams Memorial Baptist Church located at 2105 Carroll Ave. in NW. Topics to be covered include business/organization partnerships, National Night Out, MRNF 35th Anniversary Celebration, neighborhood and park cleanup, addressing blighted and abandoned dwellings, and junk vehicles.
As we attempt to make our neighborhood a safe and enjoyable environment for all who live in Northwest, we need your help. If you’re not part of the solution…. well, you know the rest. Come out to make your voice heard and understood. It’s time to back complaints with action!
