Trish White-Boyd Appointed to Lt. Governor–Elect Hashmi’s Virginia’s Voices Outreach Committee
Roanoke, VA — Former Roanoke City Council Vice-Mayor and longtime community leader Trish White-Boyd has been appointed to serve on Lt. Governor–Elect Ghazala Hashmi’s Virginia’s Voices Outreach Committee, a statewide transition advisory body focused on engaging residents and elevating local perspectives.
White-Boyd’s selection reflects her decades-long commitment to public service, regional advocacy, and strengthening communities across Southwest Virginia. She was the Democratic nominee for Virginia’s 4th State Senate District in 2023 and is the owner and operator of Blue Ridge Senior Services, a home-care agency that has served the Roanoke Valley for nearly 20 years.

The committee will support Lt. Governor–Elect Ghazala Hashmi as she prepares to take office by helping design listening sessions, community engagement strategies, and statewide feedback channels. Members will contribute recommendations on how to best reach and serve Virginians across urban, suburban, and rural areas.
Trish White-Boyd is a respected Roanoke civic leader, entrepreneur, and public servant. Her work centers on expanding economic opportunity, supporting seniors and families, and championing equity-focused initiatives that strengthen neighborhoods. She has served on multiple boards, led community-based projects, and continues to advocate for a more connected and thriving Southwest Virginia.
