Ivies Incorporated of the Roanoke Valley® is proud to announce Noah-Christian Academy as a recipient of its 2025 Community Grant, awarded annually to organizations that exemplify a strong commitment to uplifting and strengthening the Roanoke Valley community.

The grant, submitted through the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Beta Chi Omega Chapter’s Uplift Our Local Community initiative, will support Noah-Christian Academy in purchasing essential operational supplies that directly enhances its learning environment and student experience.

This year’s application demonstrated both clear purpose and measurable community impact, aligning fully with the foundation’s mission to support local education, families, health, economic advancement, and environmental well-being.

“Noah-Christian Academy continues to be a meaningful resource for children and families in Salem and the greater Roanoke Valley,” said Dr. Cleopatra Kitt, president of Ivies Inc. of Roanoke.  “Their dedication to providing a nurturing, academically strong environment embodies the values we strive to uphold.”

A formal check presentation and signing of the grant agreement took place on December 8.

Noah-Christian Academy’s Founder and Administrator, Dr. Charnika Elliott along with representatives from both organizations were present to acknowledge the award and celebrate this new partnership.

Ivies Inc. remains committed to investing in nonprofit and community-based organizations whose work directly improves the quality of life for residents across the valley. Through grant making and service, the organization continues its long-standing mission of community empowerment and support.
