Roanoke Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., president Diane Jones proudly presented Jean Antoinette Dixon with a beautiful plaque from Delta’s National Headquarters for twenty-five years of service in the beloved Sisterhood at the November chapter meeting.
Jean has been a faithful, devoted, dynamic and hardworking member of the sorority holding many offices in key positions. Jeanie was initiated through the Blacksburg Alumnae Chapter in the spring of 1990. The Diamond Life Member, is currently a 6th grade team leader and Social Studies Department Chair at Woodrow Wilson Middle School. In addition, she serves as the coordinator for Delta’s EMBODI program, a male mentoring program at Woodrow Wilson, sponsored by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. since 2009.
As a chapter member, Jean has provided distinguished service with the Audit Committee; is a past Sergeant-At-Arms and Financial Secretary. She co-chaired the Habitiat for Humanity Committee and continues to work faithfully on many committees.
