Since 1889, the Roanoke Regional Chamber has been around. The leading voice for business across Virginia’s Blue Ridge, the Chamber currently represents more than 800 businesses while employing more than 75,000 people. The estimated combined payroll exceeds $1.5 billion.
“Through strategic programming, advocacy and meaningful connections, the Chamber helps businesses stay informed, engaged and positioned for growth,” states its website. “Our work brings together business leaders, community partners and public officials to address the issues that impact our economy, from workforce development and healthcare to economic development and public policy.”
When the Chamber announced that Deneshia Dunnaville was getting appointed to an Ambassador position, those who have worked with her couldn’t have been happier.
A recognized leader in the community, at HopeTree Family Services as its Marketing Communications Manager, Dunnaville has helped grow membership, strengthen area partnerships and lead programs that had a direct impact on the community. She brings all of those skills to her new role.
“Denashia is passionate about sharing stories that highlight the power of community and the lives transformed through HopeTree’s work. She believes meaningful storytelling not only informs, but connects people to purpose,” the Chamber said in a press release.
It continued, “As an Ambassador for the Roanoke Regional Chamber, Denashia is committed to helping members feel welcomed, supported and connected within the region’s business community. Known for her warm spirit and genuine curiosity, she enjoys building relationships and serving as a resource to others.”
A proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Dunnaville is looking forward to thriving in her new role.
The motto of the Chamber has remained the same for decades: “If it impacts business and the success of our region, it’s our business too.”
