The most powerful single issue affecting America’s politics for the past 400 years has been Black people.

The philosophy embraced by Trump – which includes racism in particular, but also misogyny, heteropatriarchy, masculinism, and treason — is the same philosophy held by the leaders of the Confederate nation when they declared war on the United States to keep Black people enslaved. That philosophy was articulated most clearly by Jefferson Davis, Alexander Stephenson, and Roger Taney. The latter stated in the Dred Scott decision: “The negro has no rights that a white man is bound to respect.”
Masculinism, aka White Male Supremacy, cannot exist in America absent the false notion that white males at birth are superior to all other Americans. White Male Supremacy was given religious blessings because it was fostered and supported by two “religious” concepts that were contrived well after the Bible’s origins. Unfortunately, this travesty found its way into secular political manifestations: Original Sin (blamed on Eve) – second century; and Male Superiority – fourth century. Masculinism has become a significant element of Trumpism.
The myth of innate male superiority came into being when nearly all men were under the thumb of kings; so male weaklings looked for people whom they could oppress. Weakness ensues if you think you were superior at birth, and, thus, you don’t have to work hard to achieve actual strength.
George H. W. Bush and Donald Trump used racial hatred as a prominent single issue to gain their presidencies – Bush used Willie Horton and Trump used Obama.

President Lyndon Johnson was asked why poor, white Republicans repeatedly vote against their own best interests, and he said: “If you can convince the lowest white man that he’s better than the best colored man, he won’t notice you’re picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he’ll empty his pockets for you.”
Some Trump cultists will try to mitigate the much deserved animosity Americans may hurl at them because of the harm to America caused by their endorsement of Trump, with the assertion that they are only supporting him on one specific issue; but when you invite any dog into your house, you know it will bring all of its fleas. Trump brings racism, misogyny, heteropatriarchy, masculinism, and treason. Treason was an unpardonable crime before John Roberts white-washed it for Trump.
Most of us don’t live single issue lives. If we do have a “burning issue,” rational thinking, moral, ethical, patriotic Americans will not abandon all other considerations and risk the destiny of the entire nation and world on that issue.
The Ninth Amendment asserted the principle that the rights enumerated in the Constitution are not exhaustive and that the listing of certain rights does not deny or disparage the existence of other rights retained by the people.
Although aimed at the Federal Government, I can’t help concluding that it pertains to any American citizen who asserts that his own all-consuming commitment to a certain right gives him license to violate the rights of others.
Except for the truly mentally deranged, people will continue to act in their own best interests so long as they keep getting the outcomes they desire. Clearly, Lyndon Johnson’s assessment about the reason white people will act against their interests is correct. Trump, like Bush, figured out that racial animosity would get people to act against their own and America’s best interests, but Trump did not create the hatred. Trump demonizes “those people” and gaslights his like-minded but disadvantaged supporters into ignoring their own increasingly declining situation and the intensifying detriment of America.

America’s Fascistas profited politically because of the detestation of Black Americans and are now ruining our nation. They can be stopped only if Patriotic Americans show up in massive numbers at the polls, starting with the November 3, 2026 Midterms. Self-disenfranchisers are accomplices of Fascists.
