The City of Roanoke earned the 2026 All-America City Award from the National Civic League this weekend, marking its ninth win in the prestigious national competition.
The award recognizes communities that work creatively and collaboratively to address local challenges. During this year’s competition, Roanoke highlighted three initiatives that showcase the power of partnership and community engagement: Grant Ready Roanoke, Arts Connect Roanoke and its collective, people-first approach to addressing homelessness.
This achievement reflects the dedication of residents, nonprofit organizations, businesses, volunteers and City staff who are working together to strengthen our community.
