IHOP’s National Pancake Day returns on Tuesday, March 8, when guests all over the country will be lining up to enjoy one free short stack of buttermilk pancakes.
Locally, the free pancake fundraiser will benefit Carilion Clinic Children’s Hospital and Virginia Baptist Hospital in the Roanoke area.
To help spread awareness regarding this deserving cause, Miss Virginia titleholder, Savannah Lane, is partnering with IHOP Restaurants in support of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals as a spokesperson for the brand’s 11th annual National Pancake Day. On March 8, she will visit a Roanoke area IHOP restaurant to flip and serve free pancakes while helping to raise funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
Last year, pancake lovers donated nearly $3.5-million to children’s charities. Since the inception of National Pancake Day in 2006, IHOP Restaurants has raised $20-million to support charities in the communities in which it operates.
This year, IHOP has partnered with Snapchat to develop Sponsored Geofilters for customers dining at IHOP on National Pancake Day. Geofilters are fun and engaging location-based art that can be added to photo and video Snaps. Snapchatters will be able to reveal the creative overlays while they’re in-restaurant.
