On March 12, members of the Beta Chi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. celebrated 108 years of sisterhood on a national level and 78 years on the local level.
The objective of the observance was to honor the National Founders and Charter Members, serve the community and enjoy the sisterhood. There was a display during the meeting, as well as during the luncheon, commemorating Alpha Kappa Alpha’s international and local heritage and history. To provide service in the Roanoke community, the members presented gift cards for Sabrina’s Place to purchase items needed for the children as well as the facility.
The members of Beta Chi Omega Chapter concluded the day by spending a delightful afternoon fellowshipping with one another, playing trivia games and enjoying lunch at Montano’s Restaurant.
