Qwa’Tina Fralin loved motorcycles and Hello Kitty. Several months ago local motorcycle and car clubs did a charity ride for the 9-year-old girl who had been battling leukemia for 18 months. She was showered with love, gifts and even got a chance to ride on a motorcycle.
On Monday April 25, Qwa’Tina’s family reached out to the motorcycle and car club community informing them that she was given a few days to live. Her wish was to see the motorcycles again.
The information took to social media and shortly thereafter the local clubs planned to meet the next day at 5:30 p.m. in the Burlington/Big Lot parking lot on Hersherberger Rd. NW. It was from the parking lot that they would ride to Qwa’Tina’s home near 5th St. and Moorman Rd.
As fate would have it, shortly before the ride started, the cyclists received word that unfortunately Qwa’Tina had passed away at 5:19 p.m. That didn’t stop the riders; who rode in her honor and arrived at her home for a huge display of love and support for Qwa’Tina Fralin, the little girl who courageously fought the good fight with a smile.
