The Roanoke Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will present its annual fundraiser, “Miss Jabberwock 2016-“Encore” on Saturday May 14, in the Jefferson Center’s Shaftman Hall. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., the show begins at 7:00.

ENCORE, the theme of this year’s production is designed to bring back those memories of past Jabberwocks. Director Greg Addison will be honoring and showcasing former Miss Jabberwock Queens from the past 10 years (2006-2016). Starting with: 2006-Ms. Antasia Ward; 2007-Signe’ Wright; 2008 Ms. Bianca Branson; 2009-Ms. Morgan Allen; 2010-Ms. Marjoretta Coles; 2011-Ms. Tiffany Jordan; 2012 -Ms. Jasmine Keeling; 2013-Ms. Aaliyah Gray; 2014- Ms. Sierra Brown and 2015-Ms. Sydnee Evans who will crown Miss Jabberwock 2016.
Escorts have played a significant role in every production, as well. Returning escorts are: Romeo Easley, Jarred Boyd, Devynne Espeut, Douglas Pitzer, Jalante Manns, David Cobbs, Eric Dillard, Jamyron Jones, Terence Stovall, Aarron Colston, Amodre Smith and Adrian Ambrose.
The show would not be complete without the Jabberwock Kids and their energetic performance under the direction of Ms. Kayla Flood. As a special treat, the Roanoke Times Paparazzi will be there to take pictures. So “dress to impress” and come early!
