In view of the continuous rapidity with which racial incidents are occurring in this pre-ordained (but not pre-destined) model nation, it should be becoming apparent at some point that it is time to slow our roll and not be agitated into emotional stupidity, commonly used to prove a preconceived prejudicial point.”
Each new day we are bombarded in the news media with new agitation while repeatedly being reminded, day after day, of same ones–often slanted with personal (uninformed) opinionated comments added. Let’s keep in mind the fact that prejudices (of all innumerable kinds) are preconceived falsehoods that no amount of proof will likely alter.
Prior to emphasizing the importance of spiritual education, however, allow me to identify the vast difference between spirituality and religion, as most indelibly defined by a Native American during an interview several years ago. When asked of his viewpoint on religion, with stone face he replied: “Religion is one thing. Spiritually is quite another. Religion is what you get when you’re scared to go to hell. Spiritually is what you get when you’ve been there!”
Who better to so define spirituality than Native Americans, herded onto reservations on their own land where they remain¬–to date!
There is much to be learned from the families of those who became victims of the June 19 massacre at Charleston, SC’s Emanuel AME Church, killing 9 members including the pastor and State Senator Rev. Clementa’ Pinney, all of whom befriended him. Yet did all family members forgive him and pray instead for his spiritually sick soul–a prime example of true spiritually.
The social problems plaguing today’s society, the increase in crime and violence in daily life, the corruption of the media by pornography and by the perpetual promotion of violence, the spread of narcotics and subsequent alliance of the proceeds with radical and terrorist movements providing funding for terrorism, and general unbridled greed cannot be reduced solely to individual behavior. Additionally problematic is corruption within the police force and judiciary as well as among local, state, national and even some religious leaders, including the spread of bribery and favoritism.
It is therefore quite obvious that the deterioration of spirituality in general is inevitable with few models of its evidence in corporate structure. The problems of today are therefore being addressed only at material levels–void of spiritual guidance, despite all evidences of nature to get your attention.
Therefore: “O Friends (and rulers of men and nations)! Quench ye your lamps of error and kindle within your hearts the everlasting Torch of Divine Guidance…provided throughout time through EACH Manifestation of the ONE GOD to One mankind–applicable to the exigencies of each respective era! Refusal to accept truth does not change truth¬–only our lives! (Investigate!–1-800-22-unite)
