Aladdin Court #34, Daughters Auxiliary Oasis of Roanoke is supporting area children through giving school supplies to the Rescue Mission for its 2016 Back 2 School Blast. Last year, the Rescue Mission provided book bags and school supplies to more than 1,600 children.
The Daughters Auxiliary is a group of female family members of Prince Hall Shriners. The Daughters are a charitable and benevolent organization empowering African-American women to exert a positive influence over those who impact the quality of life for all people.
Other local charities supported by the group are: American Cancer Society, Apple Ridge Farm, Feeding America and others.
