ROCKY MOUNT, VA — The February 15 deadline for signing up for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act is quickly approaching. That’s why on Saturday, Jan. 24, Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital (CFMH), in partnership with Commonwealth Covered will help community members sign up for health insurance coverage. The Regional Lifestyle Health Fair, which includes health screenings and health information, will be held at the Franklin County Public Library at 355 Franklin Street in Rocky Mount from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Event attendees will also have an opportunity to win a $25 gift card each hour of the event and the first 75 people who sign up for insurance that day will get a free t-shirt.
Bill Jacobsen is vice president and administrator CFMH, is hopeful that community members needing insurance coverage will take advantage of this opportunity.
