The Kisumu, Kenya Committee of Roanoke Valley Sister Cities has invited Doug Brainard, a VaTech graduate, to speak about his recent experiences living in Africa for four months and in Roanoke’s Sister City of Kisumu, Kenya for six weeks.
Doug worked with Kiva.org and Evidence Action to help provide safe water dispensers in villages of Eastern Africa. He will be speaking November 10 at the South County Library at 7:00 p.m. “Roanoke Valley Sister Cities” invites the public to this event.
