Delegate Sam Rasoul (D-Roanoke City) has launched an initiative called the Impact Center in Roanoke for people looking for ways to mobilize, lead, or have a local impact on their community.
“The Impact Center is all about equipping any and everybody with the tools and connections they need to create truly effective change,” said Rasoul. “There is a lot of energy out there right now and our office has received many inquiries on how to get involved. People want to know how to advocate for various causes, how to best lead their organizations and how to leverage that knowledge to improve their neighborhoods and the world. We want anyone who is motivated to take action to have the power to do so. If you need resources or have resources to lend, we want to connect and empower you.”
Located at the impact center, the website allows people to find out more about the initiative and fill out a form to obtain more resources and information about their specific interests. The project will feature leadership training focused on building trust, networking resources, organizing strategies, and many other tools that will help people initiate change.
