The Political Awareness and Involvement Committee of the Roanoke Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. invites the public to attend a lecture presented by Andrew Cochran, general registrar and director of elections on Monday, March 6, at the Harrison Museum of African-American Culture.
Topics of lecture series include Voting Terminology, Electoral College, Loss of Voting Rights, Restoration of Rights, Voter Suppression, Redistricting, Gerrymandering and Numbers in Local Election Turnout.
The program includes refreshments at 5:30 and lecture from 6:00 -7:00 p.m. The lecture is free to the public, but please RSVP to the Harrison Museum (540) 857-4395 by March 1, 2017. Prizes will also be given away. Monica Callaway is chapter president.
