“Camp Revamp, a project-based Socio-Emotional learning experience, began June 12 at Apple Ridge Farm, continuing through August 4, ending with Family Day on August 5.
This project marks Apple Ridge Farm’s 29th year of providing Summer Camp, offering area children daily opportunities for skill development in reading, writing, STEAM (science, technology, math, art, and engineering), environmental education, and computer programming to help keep children’s minds active and stimulated during summer vacation.
Another major component of the summer camp will be to provide children and youth hands-on learning on the purpose, methods, practice, and technology of wind and solar energy generation at Apple Ridge Farm’s new EBase USA.
These new initiatives for camp directly speak to the mission of Apple Ridge Farm: Transform the lives of our community’s undeserved children and the families through engagement in unparalleled educational, cultural & outdoor experiences!
In its 29 years of operation, the Academic Summer Camp has inspired, encouraged, and instructed over 40,000 youth to aim high. This summer, Apple Ridge Farm’s Academic Summer Camp is moving to a new level of learning and the intent is to focus on the theme, which is “Kid’s Power the World”!
Although our camp is free to children from underserved communities, camp is offered on a sliding scale basis to families with varying incomes (more information upon request).
