The Roanoke Alumnae Chapter Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. continued its more than 35-year tradition of hosting its Jabberwock scholarship fundraiser and is pleased to announce the following 2018 winners:Miss Jabberwock, Jeanette Sako; 1st runner-up, Alexandra McCadden and 2nd runner-up, Rickiecia Rogers; Little Miss Jabberwock, Aniysia Stevens-Hill and 1st runner-up, Berit Mackey.
Tanisha Nash, 1st vice-president and Jabberwock Chairperson, Helen Dean, Jabberwock co-chair, along with dedicated sorority members were proud of Greg Addison’s production of “A Tribute to Motown.”
Jabberwock 2018 was held in the Jefferson Center-Shaftman Hall on April 20. Seven contestants and twenty Jabberwock Kids kicked off the show and kept the house rocking! As attendees were taken back to the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. All participants worked diligently to make this production a huge success with proceeds from Jabberwock support scholarships and programming.
Special appreciation is extended to the parents of participants, and all previous Jabberwock participants and the choreographers who continue to work closely with Director, Greg Addison. Monica Callaway is chapter president.
