The Roanoke Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will hold its 4th Annual Sister2Sister Women’s Empowerment Workshop at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 4, in the Fellowship Hall of Pilgrim Baptist Church, 1415 8th St. NW 24016. Attendees should plan to arrive between 9:30 am – 10 am to enjoy a continental breakfast and to network. This event is free but registration is required due to limited seating.
The keynote speaker is Marcia D. Major who will be presenting, “Inspired. Empowered. Accomplished.” Major is CEO of Major Reach, LLC, a consulting firm focused on empowering future business owners to go after their dreams! “Too many people ‘settle.’” says Major. Through effective business coaching, Major helps people move from settled to a position of empowered to “Stir Up The Gifts” they have but may be stopped by fear or the unknown next steps for success. Major is a “Powerhouse” motivational speaker, gifted with a ministry for the Gospel,and is a member of the Roanoke Alumnae Chapter of DST Sorority, Inc.
The Entrepreneur Speaker of the day is Bria N. Hash, a Roanoke native and founder of “4ourty.com.” This “Boss” empowers her clients in creating pathways to monetize the vision and ideas for their businesses. Hash is also author of, “The Melanin Marketer” which focuses on business principles for 20-something entrepreneurs. She will be providing a session on, “Becoming Your Own Boss.”
