William Fleming High School placed 1st in boys 800-Sprint Medley Relay at the New Balance Nationals Outdoor 2019.
The quartet of Micah Jones, Timothy Allen, Robert Martin, and Tajai Jackson ran a blistering 1:30.55 to win the 800-meter sprint medley relay at the New Balance Nationals Outdoor meet in Greensboro, N.C. with the second fastest high school time in the Nation!
The 800-sprint medley, which is a 100, 100, 200, and 400-meter relay. Jones and Allen ran a 100-meter leg followed by Martin’s 200 and Jackson anchored the relay home in 47.05 with the other athletes splitting 43.51 combined.
The meet took place at North Carolina A&T State University; June 13 – 19, at Aggie Stadium where a culmination of 5,300+ athletes from 47 states, as well as D.C., Canada and other nations come to compete and display their track and field talents.
Jones, Allen, Martin and Jackson received T-shirts, medals and batons, and were sized for rings that will be provided by the meet’s sponsor. Alternates for the event were Dontey Edwards and Devante Taylor and coaches on hand were Robert Vineyard and Stephanie Cooper
