Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Beta Chi Omega Chapter, is pleased to announce its 2019 scholarship recipients as:
Ciara Hampton, a graduate of Franklin County High School; recipient of the Eunice Poindexter Scholarship for Outstanding Academic Achievement. Ciara is the daughter of Richard and Denita Hampton.
Ashawante Anderson, a graduate of William Fleming High School, is the recipient of the Hattie B. Austin Scholarship. Her guardian is Ms. Toni Burris.
Additional scholarships were awarded to: Elijah Lloyd, a graduate of North Cross High School and the son of Colin and Lori Baker-Lloyd; Danielle Davoll, a graduate of Northside High School and the daughter of Alwyn and Deborah Davoll; Shawn Akers, Jr., a graduate of Patrick Henry High School and the son of Mandell and Marcella Jones; Kensey Ferguson, a graduate of William Fleming High School and the daughter of Bryant and Tina Ferguson; Rickiecia Rodgers, a graduate of Williams Fleming High School and the daughter of Ricardo and Militcia Rodgers.
Beta Chi Omega is also pleased to announce the renewal of a four-year scholarship that was awarded in 2017 to Egette Indele, a rising junior at George Mason University.
