It’s that time again! Time to “shop till you drop” at the 6th Annual AKA Christmas Bazaar to be held this year at the William Fleming High School, December 6, 2014, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. This is the one-stop place you can shop from a variety of minority small business vendors which include clothing boutiques of everyday wear and wedding designs to shoetiques and specialty socks; cosmetics/body care to jewelry, crafts and unique accessories. In addition there will be food vendors, a representative from State Farm Insurance Companies and a very special visit from “Black Santa” to receive letters or verbal requests from the children present that include their wish list for this Christmas.
As you gear up for this year’s Black Friday shopping. Please purchase a new toy, that your child helped you select, and bring it unwrapped to the Christmas Bazaar. It will be donated to the 2014 U.S. Marines’ “Toys for Tots” drive. Each toy received will be given to an underprivileged child who otherwise would not be receiving any toys for Christmas due to different circumstances.
Mark your calendar now! Come out with your friends, family, and children to a special day of converting an ordinary Saturday into a “Black Saturday” for the local community entrepreneurs.
Proceeds from this event go to the Alpha Kappa Alpha Scholarship Fund.
