Restoration Housing, a local nonprofit affordable housing developer with the mission to provide affordable rental housing in rehabilitated homes while also reducing blight in Roanoke’s older neighborhoods, will hold its third annual Community Partnership Day, presented by Freedom First Credit Union, on Saturday, May 19 at 9:00 a.m. at 1018 Patterson Ave. in the West End. This event is an opportunity for volunteers to come together to help beautify the landscape of the nonprofit’s newly renovated home.
This year will focus on Restoration Housing’s second project, 1018 Patterson Ave. Work will include clearing brush, pulling weeds, prepping flowerbeds, creating a small vegetable garden, installing plants, and mulching. All the work is designed to help improve the home’s landscape and the surrounding neighborhood. To learn more about Restoration Housing, please visit our website www.restorationhousing.org.
