On Saturday, August 8, the 7th Annual “Back-to-School Community Celebration” will be held from 10:00 a.m-1:00 p.m. at the Anchor of Hope Community Center and High Street Baptist Church located at 2302 Florida Ave. NW.
The focus again this year is to provide an opportunity for children/youth to have a successful upcoming school year. Free give-aways include: free school supplies, food and gently worn clothes; also on hand will be community information booths.
Volunteers and organizations are asked to serve in various capacities and display your organization’s information so the community may be well informed. If you have items that you would like to donate to be given away, that would be appreciated.
Table and chairs will be provided in the Anchor Gymnasium for your convenience. We are expecting 400 in attendance.
All are invited to this free and open to the public.
