The Ladies of Vision (LOV) Ministry held “An Evening of Christmas III” Concert that was hosted by Pastor and Mrs. Adrian Dowell and Shiloh Baptist Church on Saturday, Dec. 13. This is the first year that Pastor Charles “Nicky” Twine, Montvale First Baptist Church and his ministerial team of event organizers brought the concert to Roanoke.
For the past two years, the benefit concert has been held at First Baptist Church, Radford. This year’s sizable offering, generated from the event, was donated to LOV Ministry and will be used to offset the cost of “The New Me-No More Scars” 2015 Domestic Violence conference.
Everyone at the concert was visibly moved by the choir of more than 80 voices, musicians and praise dancers who performed magnificently for the crowd of more than 500 attendants. The multitude of program participants were from LOV member churches that represent approximately 30 area churches.
LOV’s mission is to transform the hearts and minds of those affected by Domestic Violence by promoting self-worth, developing strength and healing from emotional and physical scars and experiencing lasting peace.
