Congratulations to five outstanding seniors who are recipients of the 2020-21 Marcus M. Wilson Scholarship Award: Kameron Washington-Brown will be attending James Madison University Majoring in Biology, Terryonna Smith will be attending Virginia Tech Majoring in Nursing, and Cartlie Vincent will be attending University of Virginia Majoring in Nursing all from William Fleming High School.
Hatagimana Lea will be majoring in Music and Davelyne Joseph will major in Nursing both from Patrick Henry High School and will be attending Liberty University. There have been 35 scholarships awarded over the past 10 years.
Board members are: Barbara Pendergrass Richmond, Councilwoman Anita James Price, Mika Pomales, Marvin Wilson, Sr. and Lorena Wilson, chair and founder. The goal is to continue to help as many students as possible.
