On Saturday, May 20 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., families are invited to attend a free festival in Wasena Park in honor of Kids to Parks Day.
Hosted by Roanoke Parks and Recreation, Kids to Parks Day is an annual nation-wide event that encourages outdoor play and adventure. Families can expect an array of bouncy castles, face painting, a magician, balloons, food trucks, and a family Scavenger Hunt along the Roanoke River Greenway.
Mayor Sherman Lea will address the media at 1:00 p.m.
