If a great opportunity occurs this summer at the Roanoke Higher Education Center (RHEC) as the Student Success Center offers a FREE summer math camp geared toward rising 3rd through 5th graders who want to strengthen their math skills. The camp offers hands-on, interactive programs for each skill level meeting the student at their skill level and helping them gain confidence and improve their math skills! A typical camp day will have focused math skills in the morning and math games and field trips after lunch.
The camp runs weekdays June 18-July 21 with NO camp the week of July 3rd. Camp dates are June 19-23, June 26-30, July 10-14, and July 17-21. Camp hours are 9 am and 4 pm daily with breakfast beginning at 8:30 am. All campers receive free breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
Campers are required to sign up and attend all 4 weeks of camp and those who attend all 4 weeks will earn a certificate. Have your student join us for a community math program that will help prepare them for the upcoming school year. Applicants must meet income requirements and transportation to and from camp is required! Register by April 30th to reserve your spot!
