Rev. Dr. Cedric E. Malone and the Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church family recently recognized 2018 High School Graduates, Qu’Daja Manns and Nashid Peterson on Graduation Sunday at the church.
Qu’Daja Manns attended William Fleming High School participating on the Cheerleading squad, girl’s basketball team, in the National Honor Society and AFJROTC. She received the Dr. MLK Youth Achievement Award from the Roanoke Chapter of the SCLC, and was awarded the Geraldine N. Davis Scholarship, which is designated for a female high school graduate of Greater Mt. Zion. She plans to attend Hampton University in the fall majoring in nursing. Qu’Daja is the daughter of Buford French and granddaughter of Mary French.
Nashid Peterson attended Patrick Henry and participated in various school activities. He plans to be an entrepreneur with Amway and attend college in the near future. Nashid is the son of Desmond and Wanda Peterson and the grandson of Shirley Hughes.
