The family of Corine Johnson awards two Roanoke City Students the Mildred Ann Rose Johnson Scholarship for the 3rd consecutive year.
The Mildred Ann Rose Johnson Scholarship Fund is a 501 (c)(3) organization here in the Roanoke Valley that provides scholarships to students that attend Roanoke City Schools who are first time college students. The scholarship was established in September 2014 and became a 501 (c)(3) organization in January 2015.
The recipients are Isabella Perez and Rebekah Brown. Isabella, a 2017 Graduate of Patrick Henry High School, will be attending Vassar College in New York majoring in Pre-Med. Rebekah, a 2017 Graduate of William Fleming High School, will be attending Davis and Elkins College in West Virginia, majoring in Exercise Science with a concentration in Physical Therapy. Special thanks to Outback Steakhouse on Franklin Road in Roanoke, VA for hosting the scholarship events each year. The family also appreciates the Roanoke community’s support and donations throughout the year.
